BEIJING (Reuters) – Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said on Thursday accusations by Canada are groundless, when asked about Canada naming China and Russia among main cyber-crime threats. The Duke of Cambridge has welcomed an investigation into the Panorama interview with his mother, saying it “should help establish the truth”.
William said the independent probe into Martin Bashir’s controversial television appearance with Diana, Princess of Wales, in 1995 was a “step in the right direction”. The BBC has appointed Lord Dyson, former Master of the Rolls, to lead the investigation, which will seek to discover what steps the broadcaster and Bashir took to land the interview.
In statement on Wednesday night, William said: “The independent investigation is a step in the right direction. His response comes as the, former Master of the Rolls and head of civil justice, to lead an independent investigation into Martin Bashir’s Panorama interview with Diana, Princess of Wales.
